Married at a young age and got divorced at the age of 19 Actress Zoya Nasir discloses the harsh experience of life
Karachi (Web Desk) actress Zoya Nasir brings to light that she got married in her teenage and also got divorced at the age of 19.
In an interview to the web channel, Zoya Nasir discussed her traumatic life experience and explained the causes behind her early divorce. The actress discussed that she had an arranged marriage and her parents searched for a suitable match. We think that every proposal from outside the country is supposed to be good, but the reality is quite different. My Ex-husband was eight years older than me, and we disagreed on multiple issues.
Zoya further added,
“ I was frightened of getting divorced after the marriage because I was worried about what people would say. Then this happened shortly after marriage, I tried everything I could to save my marriage, but when things didn’t work out even after everything, I had no choice except to divorce myself.”
She said, “ At the time of divorce, it may not have been as traumatic as people’s words and taunts after divorce. I am satisfied with my decision, and my ex-husband is married, and he has children for whom I am happy.”
Zoya Nasir confessed that many people in showbiz told her that her face is not that of an actress playing the lead role.
The actress stated an incident she had with her in showbiz,
“ Once I went on a tour of the United States, and when I returned my skin color had faded a little, the director of the project I signed pointed to my face and exclaimed, “ What have you done to yourself.”
Zoya said that the director offered me a color whitening injection and said that we don’t want this color of yours, which astonished me, and I apologized.
The actress said that people believe that there can’t be a story of a chubby girl or that sanola color is a sign of ugliness, but this isn’t true. I once had to do a series on a girl who thinks she is attractive but is hideous in reality.
She added, “ The standards of beauty and ugliness are different for everyone. I told the director that I would rinse my face, but I won’t put on a black base on which I left that series. It’s not necessary to call someone ugly because of their complexion. My sister’s proposal for marriage came because of her complexion.”
