Bill Gates in Pakistan for the first time

Microsoft co-founder and co-chairman of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Mr. Bill Gates came to Pakistan for the very first time for a day-long visit on Thursday.

During his short tour, the American philanthropist got to meet President Dr. Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan, and top official ministers. He highly appreciated the services of NCOC in the pandemic, polio vaccines processes, and Ehsaas program initiative.

Sharing in social media, Mr. Gates anticipated that he was motivated to see the dedication this country is putting to eradicate the diseases; and if everyone remains this vigilant and committed, we can end polio.

Besides, he was also awarded Hilal-i-Pakistan by President Arif Alvi at the President House for his favors to Pakistan.

On his arrival, Prime Minister Imran Khan applauded his foundation for providing indefinite support and help to Pakistan in the cause of the polio eradication program.

Bill Gates also expressed gratitude for inviting him and for delivering such warm hospitality on his first visit.

He also praised the efforts of continuing polio vaccinations despite the COVID-19 restrictions.
