* Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth: Flu is spread by droplets from coughs and sneezes, direct contact with an infected surface or objects, and touching infected surfaces or objects. One should avoid close contact with people who are sick.

* Stay hydrated: Flu and other illnesses can cause you to dehydrate quickly, especially in the colder weather. Staying well-hydrated can help you stay well.
