PIA special flight departing Hindu pilgrims got canceled…

KARACHI: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) was all set to carry Pakistani Hindu pilgrims to India on 29 January but it got suspended as per the sources.

According to the agreement signed between two neighboring countries in 1974, the pilgrims would be allowed to visit each other’s religious sites. Both airlines along with the ministry of religious affairs would hold responsible for these departing and arriving flights.

Recently, a special PIA flight was all scheduled to take off 160 Hindu pilgrims from Karachi to Jaipur and it had to land at noon on Saturday.

The flight had been arranged at the request of the Pakistan Hindu Council (PHC) to visit holy places but it got canceled.

The PIA officials have stated that they were not allowed to take off by the Indian government.

Moreover, they had to grant permission from the Indian Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in this regard but didn’t receive any subsequent response from the other side.

It has been reported that neither of them is responsible for the cancellation of the flight. The tour is just being postponed until authorities get notified to fly out the pilgrims.
