The current literacy rate in Pakistan is just 60% which means that an estimated population of about 60 Million is illiterate in the country. A country where more than two million individuals are stumbled into the poverty even the little steps of care, responsibility, good governance taken for their bright and secure future can give an everlasting impact not only on their lives but also is a key of success to a wealthy, prosperous and developed nation.
Ehsas Taleemi Wazaif App is one such commendable initiative to give an instant rise to the literacy rate of the country.
Exclusive Assistant to the Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection, Senator Dr. Sania Nishtar launched the app on January 24 which is observed globally as the International Day of Education.
It is an android application for student’s
remuneration particularly designed to enable enrollment of eligible students at their doorstep. Dr. Sania inaugurated the app by enrolling a girl in the school stipends program.
She addressed media, students, parents and teachers about the end – to – end digital enrollment process through the newly launched Ehsass taleemi wazaif app to make a flawless and corruption free system. It is hassle free as the families can register their children themselves at their door steps without visiting any office or concerned person.
Remarkably ehsas policy for taleemi wazaif gives a larger amount of stipend to girls as compared to the boys. Incentives will be given from the primary to the higher secondary level to the children aged 4 – 22 years to the deserve families. Thus, encouraging the parents to send their children particularly the girls to school.
This is the program to give its citizens their fundamental right of education. In the coming three years Ehsas Taleemi Wazaif App is hopeful to bring into its net 10 million deserving children from 160 districts of Pakistan. Last but not the least over 6.7 million children have already been enrolled to date which itself is an exceptional result of a marvelous effort.
